Mini Me Lunches

It hard hard hard work to home cook all meals for the family all the time. Some days feel like an endless cycle of peeling and chopping, not mention the constant war-zone of the kitchen...

On the upside we are moving from purees and mashed food into finger food and chunky bits which makes things a bit more interesting and gives me more chance to enjoy lunch time with my son.

Our "mini me lunches" now often contain the exact same thing the difference would be the texture for him and more seasoning at the end for me. Today I want to share the concept of feeding yourself an your baby the same foods. Obviously all food has to be age appropriate but this can work with tons of different types of food. It doesn't matter if you are more adventurous or more traditional when it comes to cooking and feeding your baby.

It's fun, it looks cute when you are serving it and it's easier to prepare.

Two of our lunches below:

1) Stirfry noodles with a selection of vegetables and tofu
Pureed the veg for the baba, topped with a few tofu cubes

2) Poached salmon with roast sweet potato and beetroot
Baba eats the sweet potato cubes himself while I'll feed him little bits of salmon and beetroot puree.

Have a great long weekend everybody!
